Boothbay’s giant pumpkins have been busy spreading color, creativity, and kindness all across town.
At Boothbay Region Elementary School, grower Jimmy Jellison stopped by with a slideshow for some budding young pumpkin growers, showing how a tiny seed can grow into a backyard giant. Laughter — and a few big dreams — sprouted right along with the lesson.
At Mitchell Studios, the “Butterfly Pumpkin” took flight during a festive pumpkin party that raised donations for the Boothbay Region Community Food Bank and Doctors Without Borders for Palestine. It was a celebration of art, generosity, and all things orange.
Meanwhile, the Boothbay Region YMCA proudly showed off its pumpkins donated by Irma and son Joe Hackett, rounding out a week filled with fall spirit and community pride.
